Walk with us on a powerful journey along the canals, covering the towns and cities where The Light Group operates. This annual pilgrimage is an opportunity to connect with communities, reflect, and walk together with purpose.

 

THE ROUTE

Starting in Leeds, we will walk through Bradford, Halifax, Dewsbury, Blackburn, Burnley, and Accrington, with the potential to include more towns as we grow. We will be followed by a canal barge, providing a base for rest, refreshments, and support.

WHAT TO EXPECT

• A three-day journey along the canal, with different sections open to all.

• Community gatherings and services on Friday and Saturday evenings in towns along the route.

• Churches and soup kitchens will hopefully provide meals along the way.

• A chance to walk alongside clergy, local leaders, and others, sharing in a meaningful experience.

 

PARTICIPATION FEE

To help cover costs and support this important work, we ask for a contribution of:

• £20 per person

• £30 per family
