We are looking for churches, charities and businesses to partner with us by donating a regular financial amount per month to help make The Light Group sustainable for the future.
Through compassionate service, we strive to bring hope and transformation to the most vulnerable members of our community.
OUR MISSION
The Light Group exists to get people off the streets, develop supportive communities for those on the margins, and offer opportunities for individuals to encounter the transformative love of Jesus.
We build a nationwide community of compassionate, committed, and experienced people who deliver effective outreach and support to rough sleepers and those in need. Additionally, we are dedicated to equipping churches through our comprehensive volunteer training program, which is offered completely free of charge. This program is designed to empower congregations with the tools and knowledge needed to effectively serve vulnerable adults in their local communities.
OUR MINISTRIES
COMMUNITY GROUPS
These are welcoming and supportive gatherings held weekly in local cafes or churches, providing free hot drinks, sandwiches, and a safe space for conversation. The Light Groups are designed to help individuals who are struggling with mental health challenges, addiction, or homelessness. We develop a support network, explore faith, and find recovery possibilities. They are a bridge to meaningful relationships and spiritual growth.
12-STEP RECOVERY GROUPS
Grounded in Christian principles, these groups are a cornerstone of our ministry. They provide a structured yet compassionate environment for individuals seeking freedom from addiction and other life-controlling issues. Our 12-Step Recovery Groups emphasise grace, accountability and spiritual transformation through the power of Jesus Christ.
WEEKLY STREET OUTREACH
Our team goes out into the streets every week to meet individuals where they are. Through practical support, such as food, water and clothing, we aim to build trust and offer hope. We connect people with resources and services that can help them transition out of homelessness and into a stable life.
MONTHLY WORSHIP NIGHT
On the last Wednesday of every month, we hold a Worship Night open to everyone, including those we serve through our ministry. These gatherings are a time for the whole community to come together in worship, prayer, and fellowship, celebrating God’s faithfulness and the transformative stories of His work in the lives of individuals we support.
CHURCH PARTNERSHIPS
We believe that the church is God's instrument to bring healing and restoration to the broken-hearted. We invite your church to join us in this mission in one or more of the following ways:

FINANCIAL SUPPORT
Partner with us financially to sustain and expand our ministry efforts. For just £100 a month, you can fund a homeless outreach initiative in your town through The Light Group, ensuring vital support reaches those in need. This amount covers the cost of providing hot drinks, such as tea, coffee, and soup, to bring warmth and comfort to individuals living on the streets. It also includes essential winter items like gloves, hats and socks to help protect against the harsh weather, as well as nourishing snacks and food packs to address immediate hunger. Your support enables us to extend compassion and practical care, fostering hope and dignity for those experiencing homelessness.
