This August Bank Holiday, we’re setting out on a 4-day journey across the Pennines — walking from Manchester to Leeds along the canal network that connects so many of the towns we serve. This isn’t just a walk. It’s a pilgrimage.

About the event
The Journey
We’ll cover around 70 miles over four days, following the Rochdale Canal, joining the Calder and Hebble Navigation, and finishing on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal into Leeds.
Along the way, we’ll pass through towns like Hebden Bridge, Halifax, and Dewsbury — places where The Light Group is already active, and where real lives are being changed.
